Marine fire dampers are used in HVAC work on yachts, merchant ships, offshore vessels and offshore rigs to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and gas into the air ducts. In the event of a fire, the fire and gas dampers will be closed automatically, preventing additional oxygen from entering the space for refueling and spreading the fire.
