A cable puller, also known as a hauling tractor, is used to pull the cable through a conduit. The rope, which is lighter and more flexible than cable, is manually pulled through the duct, then tied to one end of the cable being pulled. With one person directing the cable, the electrical cable puller does all the hard work.
