It owned several major steel plants, including Meishan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., Zhanjiang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Iron and Steel Group (WISCO). It also owned another listed company Baosight Software, as well as other subsidiaries and joint ventures.
With more than 56 000 employees, Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. is considered a globally leading integrated iron and steel company. According to Forbes, it is considered one of the top 2000 largest public companies in the world.
