Wardrobes

A wardrobe or armoire or almirah is a standing closet used for storing clothes. The earliest wardrobe was a chest, and it was not until some degree of luxury was attained in regal palaces and the castles of powerful nobles that separate accommodation was provided for the apparel of the great. The name of wardrobe was then given to a room in which the wall-space was filled with closets and lockers, the drawer being a comparatively modern invention.[citation needed] From these cupboards and lockers the modern wardrobe, with its hanging spaces, sliding shelves and drawers, evolved slowly.
 

Custom Closets

A custom closet is a built-in closet system that may include rods, shelves, drawers, baskets, and a multitude of other features and accessories. The system has panels that create sections, allowing for different combinations of hanging, shelving, drawers, and cabinets, for storage.

Dressing Table

As one of the biggest trendsetters of the 17th-century, her influence is most likely one reason why dressing tables became so popular. During the reign of Louis XIV, couriers and a small group of select favorites were allowed to witness the “public dressing” of royalty in the bedroom suite.
