Pal has been the pioneer in pre-insulated ducting. Pal was the first company in the world to introduce the innovative and revolutionary pre-insulated ductwork as an alternative to sheet metal ductwork. It was invented by Claudio Ferraro of Bologna, Italy in 1965.

Pal offers a complete product line, providing all materials, tools and accessories necessary for the effective fabrication of ductwork from The PalDuct Phenolic System. Each component has been rigorously tested in the field, in a variety of ductwork applications, to the highest performance standards.

The PalDuct Phenolic System uses a phenolic insulation panel, which has a density of 60-65 kg/m3. It is available in a thickness of either 25/32 / 1 3/16 “ ( 20 / 30 mm). It is CFC / HCFC free and faced with an 80 / 80 or 80 / 200 micron aluminum foil. The embossed aluminum foil is lacquered with 3 g/m2 of corrosion-resistant polymer varnish.

Ductwork fabricated from The PalDuct Phenolic System is UL listed as a Class 1 Air Duct, to Standard for Safety UL 181 (Underwriters Laboratories: Factory Made Air Ducts & Air Connectors), when fabricated to a specification clearly defined by UL.

A complete set of professional hand tools and manual fabrication equipment has been specifically developed to enable the efficient and economical fabrication of ductwork. Ease of portability provides the option for site-based fabrication.
