Copper pipes are commonly used in the construction industry for residential water supply lines and sometimes for drain and vent lines. Copper pipes can be manufactured as soft or rigid copper and they offer excellent corrosion resistance and reliable connections.

Copper tubes are used in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, medical-gas delivery, compressed-air systems, and cryogenic systems. In addition to plain copper tubes, tubes are available in specialty alloys.

When it comes to copper piping, there are two types: rigid and flexible. Copper fittings can be used with either type of pipe.
