MEC Medical Ltd. became an independent company in August 2004 having previously been a subsidiary of Blease Medical Ltd..

An established market leader for over 40 years MEC Medical Ltd. has built a UK and international reputation for excellent customer service.

This is achieved through well designed high quality products and a flexible manufacturing facility which allows fast turnaround of customer orders. We can also offer product servicing backed by a full technical after sales support service.

The company operates its Manufacturing facility, In-House design and Sales team from its factory based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.

 Company History

Established in 1975 as McCrea Engineering, a family run business set up to provide medical gas equipment and services to the NHS. With a range of in-house designed products McCrea Engineering established its place in the market with a reputation for well engineered, high quality products.

The McCrea family sold the company to Blease Medical Ltd in 1998, a local well established Anaesthesia Company that McCrea Engineering had strong supply links with.

Registered as MEC Ltd. the companys primary role was to support the medical gas requirements of Blease Medical as well as servicing the medical gas requirements of the NHS as well as other OEMs.

In 2004 Blease Medical was sold to Spacelabs Medical Inc. with MEC Medical Ltd. sold separately to once again become an independent supplier to the Medical Gas and Anaesthesia industry.
