Weld Neck Flanges have a long tapered hub and are often used for high pressure applications. The three most common types of facings that Specialty Flange and Fitting carries for weld neck flanges are raised face (most common), flat face, and ring type joint (RTJ).
Blind Flanges are used to end a pipeline either for permanent or temporary reasons. This type of flange is solid with no bore and come in flat or raised.
SLIP ON FLANGE is essentially a ring that is placed over the pipe end, with the flange face extending from the end of the pipe by enough distance to apply a weld bead on the inside diameter. Slip on flange may also be used a lap joint flanges if Type B or Type C stub ends are used.
ORIFICE FLANGE unions are used in conjunction with orifice meters to measure the flow of liquids and gases using tapped or socket weld style meter connections located on the outside diameter of the flanges.
