Tangent offers technical support and customer service through our professionally trained and certified support staff. When you contact Tangent Tech Support, we will ask you to participate in limited, phone-based troubleshooting to help identify the cause of the problem. Tangent Tech Support's focus on remote troubleshooting helps expedite the service you need to quickly get back to using your technology with minimum downtime.

ADVANCE PARTS EXCHANGE

The Advance Exchange Service provides replacement units for defective computer systems or components. Tangent Tech Support determines your system needs to be replaced with a warranty-replacement system, TANGENT will ship a replacement. Advance Exchange is available if you purchased the service for your Tangent hardware.

IMAGE PRE-LOADING

Software images can be pre-loaded onto a customer’s hard drive. Tangent will, if requested, maintain an image backup. The original software is returned to the customer. The image will then be used for installation on additional units.

SELF MAINTAINER PROGRAM

The Self Maintainer Program is designed for customers with in-house technical expertise in diagnosing and servicing computer systems or customers who are capable of installing parts. Contact Tangent Tech Support to request your warranty replacement part. We'll ask you a few basic troubleshooting questions to confirm your diagnosis before we ship the part to you.

ON-SITE TECHNICIAN

An on-site technician may be sent to replace defective parts and verify system functionality. On-site Service is only available for those computers that purchased on-site service coverage and is dispatched at the discretion of Tangent Technical Support.

HARD DRIVE PROTECTION PLAN

Using the Hard Drive Protection, you are not required to return your failed hard drive in order to receive a replacement hard drive. The Plan only covers computers under warranty.

OUT OF WARRANTY REPAIR

Tangent provides repair support and part replacement/acquisition services for Out of Warranty Tangent units. There is a $175 flat rate repair fee as well as part replacement costs (if necessary). Costs are determined on a per unit basis.

OTHER PRODUCTS

Tangent provides a limited warranty on non-Tangent Manufactured parts or peripherals purchased through Tangent. Tangent warranties these products for a period of thirty (30) days from date of invoice. After 30 days, warranties, if provided, are available from the original manufacturer.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE PLAN

The Accidental Damage Plan provides coverage for labor and replacement costs of defective parts following unforeseen accidental damage from liquid spills, impacts, power surges (when protected by an operational surge suppressor), cracking or shattering of the LCD screen or other similar accidental events.
