A mammoth performance for both client and HAURATON was the major project ‘Killesberghöhe’ in Stuttgart. A new modern urban quarter was built on the former trade fair site. More than 2.3 kilometres of HAURATON channels were installed over the 25,000m² within a narrow timeframe. More than 50 custom-made channels were produced. “Of course, you are always faced with new challenges with such complex projects”, said Civil Engineer Inga Graf who headed the project during the nearly 2-year construction period. “To be able to improvise, it is necessary to understand your trade and everything has to function within a structured framework—anything else inevitably leads to chaos.” She was able to rely on Area Sales Managers Rüdiger Krause and Uwe Sprich. They kept in contact with the client, the general contractor and the building merchant. “If I know the consequences that Property Developer rescheduling has on the overall progress of the project, I can also correctly pin down the consequences for the site management” , said Uwe Sprich.
The project was supervised by Civil Engineer Inga Graf at HAURATON and Area Sales Managers Rüdiger Krause and Uwe Sprich. Graf, along with her colleagues, provided a professional and technical implementation. The two Area Sales Managers, Rüdiger Krause and Uwe Sprich, were mainly responsible for the bid phase and contact with the Property Developer or Prime Contractor. Project Manager Rüdiger König from Bietigheim Gartengestaltung GmbH (Bietigheim Garden design GmbH) was responsible for the construction site and made sure everything was installed correctly and was finished on time. Building Merchant Thomas Gollnisch from Blatter Bauzentrum (Blatter Building Center) was in charge of billing, logistics and support at the construction site.
Passion and enthusiasm are important elements for a successful project completion. Inga Graf described her motivation as follows: “I simply enjoy new challenges and the combination of technology and project management plus how we complement each other in order to achieve the best possible result”. “For me as an Area Sales Manager the main focus is on the customer, of course. Winning tenders and supplying customers with a result that may even surpass expectations motivates me”, commented Rüdiger Krause.
The motto that company founder Karl Hauger followed still applies at HAURATON today: Where there's a will there's a way.
