INTEGRA Metering’s history goes back to 1928 when the Wasserzählerfabrik, later renamed Aquametro, was founded in Basel, Switzerland. For 89 years, the company strives to gain knowledge, know-how, and experience in the water and thermal energy business while building its reputation on a global scale with 5 international offices in Europe, Middle-East, and Asia.

2017 marks a significant milestone in the company history: Aquametro announces its merger with Yzatec, a French leading technology start-up founded in 2010 and renowned for its new generation of piezo-based ultrasonic water meters with embedded wireless IoT communication, resulting in the creation of the new INTEGRA Metering. The newly established company translates the strong will of combining both of its identities, namely the experienced and well-established Aquametro on one hand with the future-oriented and fast-moving Yzatec on the other hand.

Today, INTEGRA Metering provides a broad and complete range of solutions and products in the water and thermal energy industries, and builds on its over 90-years experience to deliver customized and quality services to water and thermal energy suppliers, utilities, municipalities, property management companies, and building operators. History of the company’s development

1928Adolf Gutzwiller establishes the Wasserzählerfabrik Basel, shortly afterwards renamed Aquametro Ltd.

1928 – 1937Location in the Gasstrasse in Basel in Basel

1938 – 1989Location in the Murbacherstrasse in Basel

1964Inauguration of the newly constructed production premises in Therwil (BL)

1972Aquametro Belgium s.p.r.l., our first international subsidiary, is founded in Brussels

1986Aquametro’s test centre is accredited as an authorised Swiss verification laboratory

1988Our second subsidiary, Aquametro Messtechnik GmbH, is founded in Germany

1993ISO 9001 – Initial certification for Aquametro

1997Accreditation of the test centre according to ISO 17025

2004Aquametro Representative Office is founded in Tokyo (Japan)

2007Aquametro Korea Ltd is founded in Busan (Korea)

Aquametro Representative Office is founded in Dubai (UAE)
