In 1934 the Kuwait Oil Company Ltd. was established by the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, now known as the British Petroleum Company, and Gulf Oil Corporation, now known as Chevron Corporation.

The Company activities had extended to include exploration operations, on-shore and off-shore surveys, drilling of test wells, and developing of producing fields in addition to crude and natural gas exploration.

Strive for World-class Operational Excellence: Achieve world-class operational excellence to maximize upstream profitability.

Optimize Portfolio Management:  Optimize resource allocation to maximize strategic fit and return on investment for each type of hydrocarbon.

Achieve Sustainable Crude Oil Production Capacity: Ensure meeting the current and future demand by achieving a sustainable crude oil production capacity in the State of Kuwait, including production from the Partitioned Zone.

Achieve Sustainable Non-associated Gas Production:  Ensure meeting the current and future demand by achieving a sustainable production of non-associated natural gas in the State of Kuwait, including production from the Partitioned Zone.

Replace Reserves to Sustain Production:  Replace produced hydrocarbons by improving recovery factor for known resources and by discovering new reserves.

Facilitate Technology & Capability Transfer: Ensure mechanisms and platforms are in place, and pursue to capture and transfer of technologies to and from K-companies and promote opportunities that support the development of Kuwaiti capabilities.

Actively Manage Stakeholders to Satisfy Kuwait Energy Demand Efficiently: Efficiently provide energy security to the State of Kuwait by achieving and maintaining solid alignment with stakeholders including government entities, partitioned zone partners, service providers and suppliers.
 
 

 

We Care

A developed nation is known by its respect to humanity in terms of human health,
safety and the safety of the surrounding environment. Therefore, achieving development should not be at the account of human health, safety and environment. Employees’ safety and health are primary requirements for achieving development in production.

According to international statistics, more than 80% of incidents are caused by unsound personal behavior. Thus, being officials in charge, we should know and correct such dangerous acts and behaviors before an incident takes place.

It is further our duty to keep the employees aware through intensive awareness campaigns. Our success as a company does not only depend on production boom but also on the safety of the work accomplished and preservation of employees as their safety is our top priority.

Based on this corrective concept, the company issued HSEMS for the first time 1995, taking the lead in this regard. Training courses followed the issuance of the System for refining the employees in this direction.
