The scope of work of this project involves development of security compounds, including construction, operation and maintenance of 28 different types of facilities at more than 50 locations for a ministry - Phase 3 located at Saudi Arabia. The compounds have been designed to include schools, mosques, theatres, civilian dormitories, military barracks, administration buildings, training facilities and buildings for recreation and entertainment. Majority of the security premises will be located in and around Riyadh, but facilities will also be built in the provinces of Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Jeddah, Madinah, Taif, Al-Jouf and on Saudi Arabia's northern borders. The $4.1bn contract that calls for Saudi Binladin to construct 620 security compounds, consisting of 15 call centres, 199 police stations, 68 traffic stations, 54 roads patrol stations, 35 civil defense centres, 41 immigration departments centres, 33 drug enforcement centres, 57 civil status administration buildings, 41 investigation and prosecution buildings, 12 border guard stations, and 70 services and associated facilities in a various location across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The facilities will be used to house, educate and train members of Saudi Arabia's public security forces, civil defence service, fire service, police force, passports division, and special security and other investigative forces.
