Rayadah Investment Company (RIC), the subsidiary of Public Pension Agency (PPA), is undertaking the construction of the ITCC project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The project involves the construction of an 800,000m2 information technology and communication complex. The project is being developed in two phases.

The first phase covers an area of 500,000m2 and the second phase covers an area of 300,000m2.

The project is being implemented in three construction packages. The first package includes the construction of four 20-story office towers for research centers & technology company offices. The second package includes the construction of a five-star hotel with 270 rooms and a convention center and the third package includes the housing development.

Zuhair Fayez Partners has been appointed as the architect, HLG Contracting LLC as excavation contractor and Consolidated Consultants and Engineers Pvt. Ltd as a lead consultant.

In May 2009, the construction contract for the first package worth US$691 million was awarded to the joint venture of Al Habtoor Leighton Group and Al Rajhi Projects & Construction. Drake and Scull international were appointed to carry out the MEP work.

In May 2009, the construction contract for the second package worth US$152.7 million was awarded to Construction Contracting Enterprises (CCE). CCE will be responsible for the construction and MEP work.

In May 2009, the construction contract for the third package worth US$50.1 million was awarded to Al Yamama Company, the scope of the contract also includes MEP work.

In June 2009, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and RIC signed an agreement for the operations and management of Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Al Bawani Co. LTD. has been appointed as Civil Sub-Contractor for the project.

In the first quarter of 2016, construction work on the third package completed.

Construction works on the first and second packages are underway.

Scope

The project involves the construction of a 800,000m2 information technology and communication complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The US$2,600 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of a four 20-story office towers under package I

2. Construction of a five-star hotel with 270 rooms under package II

3. Construction of residential units under package III

4. Construction of sports facilities

5. Construction of parking facilities

6. Installation of safety systems

7. Construction of other infrastructure related facilities
