In 1959, Professor Mounir Khatib laid the foundation for an engineering company in Beirut under the name Mounir Khatib & Partners, which was renamed in February 1964 to Khatib and Alami Company after the partnership that took place with Dr. Zuhair Alami.

Currently, the company has 32 overseas offices worldwide, with more than 5,000 employees. 

The company has many giant projects that it has implemented, including hotels, city planning, infrastructure and museums all over the world
